Are you paying any attention to what I’m saying?
Teachers.
We all know them. We’ve all talked and worked with them. We all have our faves.
But the one thing I completely dislike, is that teachers always call you out. Like yesturday. Im in math class. And im drawing in my notebook. But Im also listening to what she says. So she is blabbing on and on about the importance of math. When she says. ” ASHLEY ARE YOU PAYING ATTENTION TO ME?” And my head shoots up and I just wide-eye her. She looks at me disappointing-ly, so I say ” Yeah.”
But obviously she thought I was zoneing out, which I wasnt and asked me again and I had the same answer. So she tells me that, if I dont listen to this class ( which I was!) It would get me nowwhere in life and I would end up being a punk. Which is my style-choice! And a good for nothing teenager with no self-respect IN FRONT OF THE WHOLE CLASS!!!

But did she really have to explain my ” future” in front of the whole class? No. No, sir ( or ma’am) she did not. She chose to because she thinks I am a bad kid. A kid who would much rather be in art class then in Math. Or at home drawing and listening to her ’ stupid’ ’ loud’ and ’ meaning less’ music creating my newest outfit. And every other teacher respects my look and my loyalty to my artwork and pen. They understand, but she doesnt. Jeez.
Sorry this was so complaining and pissy post, but thats my mood. sorry :(

Mallgoths are, 9/10, younger people who are interested in the aesthetics of goth but have a musical taste that usually includes nu metal, emo, screamo, black metal, gothic metal (which has nothing to do with gothic rock), hardcore, grindcore, and other popular genres among teens. They get their name from Hot Topic and the clothing associated with that store.
Mallgoth can sometimes be a stepping stone to learning more about goth culture and music. A lot of babybats and younger goths have lived past lives as mallgoths; don’t let them fool you. All goths start somewhere; not everyone can collect $200 and pass go with an appreciate for Bauhaus.It seems like you don’t know a lot about goth music; if you’re interested in learning more about the culture and the roots of it, check out some post-punk and deathrock bands. It’s not like you have to abandon all of your mainstream interests; plenty of goths listen to mainstream music. But when you call yourself a goth, it generally benefits you to know where the term comes from; if you don’t, you risk a lot of scrutiny, rudeness, and harassment.
Maybe try looking into some goth classics like The Cure, Joy Division, or Siouxsie and the Banshees. They’re easy on the ears and a good place to start if you’re interested.

I’m constently being told this, by my best friends, by my mother, my father, my teachers, strangers, and everyone in-between. And it’s starting to seriously piss me off.
Anothering thing I hate is when Im in the mall and I stop in to say ” Hi” to my dad and then I come home and get lectured by my mother for going to her work-place wearing PURPLE , not black, eyeliner and how when I walk in there I represtent my mother and father and how bad I make them look. Its stupid and lame.
